Jay Alvather has been president of TEKsystems since 2015 and is focused on elevating the company’s service offerings, enhancing the employee experience and building partnerships to skill the next generation of IT professionals. A top priority for Alvather is building a more inclusive and diverse workforce, and in 2018 he joined other top business leaders in this effort as part of the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion.
Alvather initially joined the staffing industry in 1995 and has held a number of executive leadership positions during that time, including chief financial officer and vice president of organizational development for TEKsystems as well as chief operations officer for Allegis Group, the largest private talent management firm in the world.
Alvather has a background in finance and accounting and is a distinguished graduate of Loyola University Maryland. Alvather is an avid fan of the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles and enjoys spending time with his wife Cyndi and their two children.
