Executive Director, TAG-Ed
Errika is an Industrial Engineer from Georgia Tech and an executive with sales, marketing, professional development and nonprofit management experience. Errika currently serves as the Executive Director for TAG-Ed (Technology Association of Georgia Education Collaborative). And most recently she was the Vice President of Member Services and External Affairs for IT Senior Management Forum (ITSMF) the only national organization dedicated to increasing the representation of black professionals at senior levels in technology to impact organizational innovation and growth. Errika has been an Account Executive for IBM, a BMC Software Marketing Director impacting over 1,100 customers and 3,000 employees in 11 geographies in the Americas and an HR Strategist for Southwire reporting to the VP of HR, working with business unit presidents to acquire strategic engineering talent, creating sustainable professional development and succession planning, enhancing new hire retention and developing an Engineering Internship program.
For the past 25 years Errika has dedicated her time and resources as a strategist, community champion and a change agent. Currently she serves as the co-lead for the state of Georgia for the National Million Women Mentors initiative, on the American Diabetes Association Regional Leadership Board, the Whitty Technology Solutions Advisory Board, the Leading Women @ Tech (Georgia Tech) Professional Development Advisory Board, the Black Burdell Society Advisory Board, the Ferst Foundation for Childhood Literacy Board of Directors and the national board for Furthering the Lives of Youth. Previously she’s served on the boards of the Gifted Education Foundation, the Georgia Tech Alumni Association Board of Trustees, the Lockhart Morgan Foundation, the Arbor Montessori Board of Trustees, Georgia Tech’s Industrial Engineering Advisory Board, the PremierCIO Advisory Council, Georgia Tech’s Women Alumnae Network Executive Board, the National Society of Black Engineers’ Executive Board, NSBE’s national Alumni Extension Executive Board, as the President of Georgia Tech’s Business Network Executive Board and as the national President for the Georgia Tech Black Alumni Organization. She is a member of IT Senior Management Forum, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., the Atlanta Diversity Managers Affinity Group (ADMAG) and a GT Mentor Jacket. She has also proudly served as a White House Fellow and as a former track coach for middle school students.
Errika enjoys serving as an adviser, change agent, volunteer leader and most importantly as a supporter of student initiatives. Errika is an effective communicator who has served as either a Keynote or Workshop presenter for national organizations, youth groups, women empowerment organizations, engineering programs and U.S. News STEM Solutions on topics such as strategic planning, succession planning, leadership development, career development, strategic volunteerism and solutions for creating a sustainable STEM pipeline.
