National Professionals Chair, National Society of Black Engineers
Anthony Murphy is a proud graduate of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (an HBCU). Mr. Murphy holds a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering.
Mr. Murphy began his career with Motorola Semiconductor Products Division in Phoenix Arizona producing electronics for wireless communication devices. He continued his career as a test engineer for International Business Machines (IBM) in Essex Junction Vermont where production focused on hard drive technology for mobile applications. Prior to joining Abbott Laboratories, Mr. Murphy worked for Texas Instruments (TI) providing reliability and failure analysis for the various divisions within TI.
Currently Anthony is the National Professionals Chair for the National Society of Black Engineer (NSBE) and resides in the Dallas Texas area. Although Mr. Murphy has traveled the world in support of the various customers and vendors utilized by his employers, his most significant travels involve speaking to over 2,400 collegiate, youth and professionals regarding education, empowerment and engineering.
